Chirath Soysa

Junior mechanical designer at CK Engineering. Chirath completed his B.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta. For his capstone project he helped design a test track for the University of Alberta’s Hyperloop team Albertaloop to test out their hyperloop pod and was mostly involved in designing the impact absorber that acted as a fail safe to prevent the pod from crashing onto the tube. He is currently working towards a goal of being an energy analyst or an energy engineer, as he believes that designs should not only be inexpensive it should also be energy efficient and not be a burden on the environment. Outside of engineering, he enjoys going out for walks, playing tennis, badminton, throwing boomerangs and travelling to different countries.
